It has been a long time since Europe has had such a rad skateboard event like this one. Hostilities took place in Spain, close to Bilbao, at the famous "la Kantera" Skatepark and it was all about bowl-riding.
The bowl is deep, rad and not easy to skate for a common skater.
But put the best local in it with some skate legends as Steve Alba, Pat N'goho or Sergie Ventura and the best former skaters such as Raven Tershy, Grant Taylor or Pedro Barros and you will see how simple it can be. It is all about commitment, body placement, line and self-confidence. Easy to watch, not easy to go in and rip it as they did...
Brazilian Felipe Foguinho performs throughout the week-end combining huge ollies and grinds.
This is not NAPOLEON DYNAMITE but Sky Siljeg (US) who literally burnt the whole pool coping with single line. One of the best skaters to watch in the bowl.
Pedro Barros, barely nineteen, wins again with class, speed and fluency. He did nearly everything in the bowl from 540 to huge nosebone to switch grind and so many stuff on the edge. Here was during the warm-up, while the bowl wasn't painted yet.
