BIOGRAPHY
Roch Tastet is an artist from Hossegor, who grew up in the heart of the Landes forest, by the lake. After obtaining a degree in biology of organisms and aquatic ecosystems, he chose to turn to his first passion: art. He studied for several years at the ECV Bordeaux, where he obtained a master's degree in 2D/3D animation. His artistic influences are multiple and varied: he is strongly influenced by horror and science fiction comics from the 50s and 70s, especially those from EC Comics and Creepy. He also draws from punk culture in general, whose creative energy, DIY, fanzine and refusal of conventionality he appreciates. Charles Burns, an artist associated with punk culture, is also one of his major influences.
The "SOus les pins tranquilles" exhibition
As an illustrator and singer, Roch offers a personal vision imbued with his love for the Landes and his fascination with pine trees. Through his exhibition "Sous les pins tranquilles", he offers a raw but contemplative vision of this nature that has always surrounded him. A look that brings us back to something stable and familiar, but that also asks questions about the balance of power between man and nature, death and life.
