For this trip to the tropics, Vincent had taken on board (among others) a Marée Jeanne 5'6, the second model of the SURFIN ESTATE range on which he had worked 7 years ago.

But before leaving, he had a few modifications to the model: the tail was significantly narrower for more agility and control in the more consistent waves and a forward wide point to facilitate the entry into the wave and the rail to rail transitions.

A test on a small island in the West Indies, which allowed us to try the board in a variety of waves with small waves, off shore wind, on the Caribbean side and more committed waves and often on shore on the Atlantic side.
If Vincent had brought other boards, he got along so well with this Marée Jeanne that he almost only surfed her. "If I had to go on a trip with only one board, I think I would take this one! I really had fun in the small surf and I was surprised by how well the board held up when the waves were bigger. Pure joy!"
